Cape Town International Airport: Africa’s fourth busiest airport helps Capetonians connect to the wider world

Cape Town International Airport is South Africa’s second busiest airport by passenger movements (10.75 million passengers travelled in and out of Cape Town airport in the 2017-2018 financial year) and the fourth busiest in the entire African continent. Cape Town International Airport is located 12 miles east of Cape Town’s city centre. CPT is accessible via the N2 or the M10 and then the M22. Two five-storey parkades are sited either side of the Transport Plaza. Two shaded parking lots and a long-stay lot are located either side of the rental parking facility. All parking facilities are within walking distance of the terminal building.

The MyCiti bus A01 airport service links the city centre (civic bus centre) to the airport. It currently runs between 5am and 9pm (weekdays) and 6am to 9pm (weekends and public holidays). It runs every half hour and takes 25 to 60 minutes (during the afternoon and early evening there is a stopping service and an express service). All weekend services are currently express services (25 minute travel time).
